Tong Pak Fu (糖百府)

Recently I was too stress with my assignment and feel of depression. Therefore, I and my friends plan to reduced pressure through having desserts as people said that desserts able to help in reduce stress. After then, we had come across a desserts restaurant named " Tong Pak Fu", which been awarded winning dessert from Hong Kong.

Tong Pak Fu desserts restaurant's simple and clear menu.(left)
A promotion card of every spent RM10 with 1 sticker and collection of 8 stickers able to enjoy a complimentary dessert from menu. (right)

After a small discussion we decided our order. We ordered 5 types of different desserts which are : Milk Snow Ice, Mixed Cream (choose any 2 selection of cream), Crystal Pearls with Honeydew Topping & Milk Snow Ice, Grass Jelly with Strawberry Topping & Chocolate Snow Ice and lastly Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice-cream.

Milk Snow Ice (RM8.80)

Mixed Cream of Black Sesame cream and Hazelnut cream (RM6.20)

Crystal Pearls with Honeydew Topping & Milk Snow Ice (RM7.80)

Grass Jelly with Strawberry Topping & Chocolate Snow Ice (RM7.80)

Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice-cream (RM12.80)

There are different types of desserts of this restaurant which they divided into Traditional dessert, Snow Ice, Cold dessert and Western dessert. The price of this restaurant are reasonable and affordable which are in the range of RM5.00 to RM13 each. It costs us for five types of desserts were RM46.00, included 6% of government tax.

The desserts of Tong Pak Fu restaurant were fresh and delicious plus is sweet, which is suitable for reducing stress and enjoying with your partner for dating or with family. In addition, the fruits were fresh and juicy. However, all of us have the same opinion that those desserts have a low grade of appearance marks. Although that, it was a desserts restaurant that worth to be visit but I and my friends had a very good time in Tong Pak Fu dessert restaurant no matter of the desserts or the relaxing environment. Why not to have a try?

Restaurant The Fruitti Stall ( Kei Tak Zik)

KTZ, a dessert restaurant that crowded with people every night. This restaurant is famous in SS2 for night life dessert. There are many kinds of traditional dessert that  can be found in the shop as we having it since young. Besides that, there is a great dessert for you if you like the cold feeling.

Lets introduce you some of the dessert.

The first dessert to be introduced is “Sago Loh”. It is a super cold dessert that with the combine of fresh fruits and ice shaves. The one in the picture was “Mango Loh”, the most popular fruits ice shaves in the restaurant. Where else you can have a great cold and sweet dessert with the combination of fresh mango, yummy.

The second was “Black Sesame” with “Tong Yun”. They crushed the black sesame and boiled it into flour form and it had perfectly compelled the taste of the black sesame. The taste is sweet and full of black sesame in my mouth in my mouth. Besides that, the “tong yun” is the best mixture to have with the tong shui. As you can see the paste inside the tong yun, it is very nice. The paste inside were made of red bean paste and peanut.
Can you imagine how nice it was?

As what i had try and i should recommend this restaurant to all the dessert lovers. The price for the "Mango Loh" is only RM6.90 and the "Black Sesame" tong shui is only sell for RM2.90 adding with the "Tong Yun" is RM1.50 per piece. It is a good place and reasonable price for dessert. Besides of dessert, there is others food like rice, noodle and snacks that are selling here so why not have a try?

T-bowl concept restaurant

I had come across this fun looking restaurant located in Sunway Pyramid, T.bowl. It is a concept restaurant that gives customers the experience of dinning in the washroom. How cute is that. The tables are basins with glasses on top, seats are the toilet bowls; they were made so real that I almost thought that they were the real usable ones. Well, I guess they just look like it though. There are also shower heads at the wall. I personally love the decoration of the restaurant, interesting and colorful. Let’s start on with our topic-- desserts. The desserts we have tried are also “injected” with “things you can find in the toilet”.

Kiwi Delight Burger

Cute turd-like vanilla and chocolate ice-creams with slices of fresh kiwi and burger breads  that is supposed to eat like having a burger I suppose? As shown in the pictures, the idea of it is very attractive to the young customers. The ice-cream is not creamy but it is so smooth that it just dissolves in your mouth within seconds. Love how the chocolate and kiwi syrups tasted together. I don’t know about others as many would say that it was just mediocre but it tastes good for a dessert lover like me.

Coco-Vanilla Delight

I believe it is designed for children but I ordered it any way as I am so curious of most of the desserts on the menu. If you can spot the chocolate balls in the picture, it is very crunchy and there is chocolate in them. Ice-cream pairs up with cereal, that’s a very good matching of texture as they separate the cereal from the ice-cream, it remains crunchy until you mix them up and put it in your mouth. And I love ice-cream with crispy biscuit. Almost forgot that there is a wafer underneath the ice-cream, love the taste when the ice-cream melts slightly on it as you dig in.

Honey Fruit Sponge Mellow

This is from the ‘dessert pool’ series on the menu. It is quite big in size for children to finish the whole thing but the appearance of it will attract mostly children, I believe. It is unique as it sits within a bathtub bowl. As you can see, vanilla ice-cream atop the middle hip, mango and strawberries on one side each. Even me can hardly finish the whole thing after trying few of the choices we ordered and a big portion melted away. Taste wise, very refreshing, fruits are fresh, but not much of a surprise factor.

In my opinion, though the desserts appear unique and special, value for money is questionable. Overall, for first time customers it does give a “Wow” factor but when come to the taste of the food, it left a lot to be desired as compared to some other restaurants. The concept theme is what that makes T.bowl outstanding.
Thank you.

Supposedly, we are going to visit another new shop in the town but suddenly there’s a inspired for me to visit this new shop.
